Kasie LaFleur has never fit neatly into one professional box — and her work is stronger because of it.
Years in education taught her how people actually learn. Acting and theatre deepened her understanding of presence, story, and emotional truth. Residential appraisal sharpened her analytical discipline. Technology gave her a way to redesign the inefficient systems she kept running into. Today, those experiences come together through a founder-led ecosystem built around communication, development, creativity, and practical innovation.
The settings look different — classrooms, rehearsal spaces, appraisal reports, software. The work underneath them is remarkably consistent: understand what people need, make the process clearer, and build a better way to move forward.
The Educator
Teaching isn't one line on a résumé. It's the operating system beneath everything Kasie builds. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and an Associate Degree of General Studies from LSU Eunice, and carries an active Louisiana teaching certificate. Her classroom experience runs from third- and sixth-grade English language arts to high-school theatre and public speaking — always with the same aim: making an explanation usable by the person receiving it, not just accurate.

The Performer & Studio Founder
Kasie approaches acting as both an educator and a performer — she teaches the craft and lives it. In April 2024 she founded KL Acting Studio LLC in Lafayette (commonly KL Acting Studio, or KLAS — Kasie LaFleur Acting Studio). It's a cinematic, film-and-television-focused studio: acting classes, private coaching, audition prep and self-tapes, scene study, filmmaking and screenwriting labs, workshops, showcases, and actor headshots. Youth work centers on ages 5–18, with adult and professional programs planned.
Her philosophy is presence before performance, believability over empty technique. The studio promises serious preparation, honest feedback, and real creative opportunity — never fame, representation, or guaranteed casting.
Communication & Speaking
Kasie's public-speaking work is grounded in teaching speech and theatre, coaching confidence and presentation, and years of high-volume, real-world professional communication — where wording, listening, and follow-through visibly change the outcome. The method is acting-informed but audience-appropriate: presence, listening, delivery, rehearsal, and feedback — without asking anyone to "be an actor." The result isn't a polished speech; it's the ability to organize a message, read an audience, manage nerves, and respond in the moment.
The Appraisal Professional
Kasie's appraisal work is residential real-property appraisal — property inspection, market research, data verification, comparable analysis, and defensible, well-documented conclusions. It is not fine art, antiques, or personal-property appraisal. She is actively completing residential appraisal education and assignments — inspecting properties, analyzing comparables, building workfiles, and producing UAD 3.6 and Legacy report content in Appraise-It Pro 3.6. It's her most analytical branch, but it draws on the same strengths as the rest: make complex information understandable, separate fact from judgment, document the sources, and explain the reasoning clearly.
The Systems & Software Builder
That same appraisal work exposed the friction — fragmented software, manual research, repetitive data entry — that inspired KLAS (Kasie LaFleur Appraisal Software). KLAS is designed as an appraiser-controlled operating system that collects, organizes, analyzes, and drafts more efficiently, while every professional judgment and final conclusion stays with the appraiser. It's an active development vision built from real residential workflows — not a finished commercial product.
How Kasie Works
Warm, but never permissive: clear expectations, honest feedback, real accountability. She teaches the reason behind the work alongside the rule, so the skill transfers beyond the room. Practice and productive failure are part of the process. And she favors substance over polish — the work should be useful, truthful, complete, and well executed. People can expect to be welcomed without being underestimated, given direct feedback that leads to a visible next step, and recognized for genuine progress.
